The Health Check is reporting that XML storage and/or BroadcastMail is not enabled. If a buddy server is configured, the HealthCheck also ensures that the buddy process is enabled.
To enable messages to be sent between ENPS Clients and Mobile, BroadcastMail needs to be set within the NOM.INI file.
If a buddy server is configured, to enable the objects to be replicated to that server, the buddy process functionality needs to be enabled.
All ENPS objects must be stored in the XML format. If this is not enabled, an issue will occur when searches are executed as the system is configured to use XML files. To enable this, a setting is required in two configuration files, however these should be enabled by default. The setting is the same in both configuration files, which is XMLStorage=1.
Below are samples of these configurations. The first is to ensure messages are sent from the NOM to the various clients. The second is to ensure that wire objects are stored using the correct file format.
<ENPS Data Drive>:\NOM\NOM.INI (Within the [NOM] Section of the file)
[NOM]
; Buddy active (1=True, 0=False)
Buddy=1
; Record caching (1=enabled, 0=disabled, default=0)
EnableCache=1
XMLStorage=1
CentralServer=name.of.central.server
BroadcastMail=1
<ENPS Data Drive>:\NWP\NWP.INI (Within the [NWP] Section of the file)
[NWP]
; Drive or UNC name and share where which data should be saved if
; in Store mode. Defaults to the local drive. Writes to
; directories named NWS and COMMON\C_SUPPORT.
;Root=F:\
; Store mode (1=Yes, 0=No)
Store=1
XMLStorage=1
CustomXSLFiles=1
UseIEProxySettings=1
Navigate to the path of the files as shown above and open them in Notepad. If intra client messages are not being receieved, check to see if BroadcastMail is configured in the [NOM] section. If files are being stored in a format that is not XML, check the XMLStorage configurations in the [NOM] and/or [NWP] sections in the relavant files. If it is not there, add it or if it is set to 0, change it to a 1.
Buddy=1
BroadcastMail=1
XMLStorage=1
If the entry is updated in the NOM.INI, at a convinient time restart the NOM process and recrawl the data. If in the NWP, restart the process and recrawl the data. If clarification is sought, contact the AP ENPS Helpdesk.
