To install and configure the Healthcheck is a simply process with only three actions needed to accomplish the task.
Log into the console using an account with administration privileges.
Copy the folder containing the latest version of the Healthcheck (for example HealthCheck_Ext_v4-20230329.2) to the root of the system volume, C:, on the server to be monitored.
Navigate to the folder just copied (for example"C:\ HealthCheck_Ext_v4-20230329.2\" and run the “Install_Upgrade_HC.ps1” script to install the Healthcheck. Note: This may require you to enter the password for the logged in user. To obtain the logged in user, open a command window and type "whoami" followed by enter to get the account.
After the installation script completes, manually delete the installation folder (for example C:\HealthCheck_Ext_v4-20230329.2), the installer creates a new folder for the Healthcheck - C:\HealthCheck_v4.
During the upgrade process, should any custom configurations have been made, these will be copied to a new file located in C:\HealthCheck_v4\configurables\hc-upgrade_customisations.ps1. The core of the HealthCheck will then be updated with the default thresholds or configurations being updated with those found in the hc-upgrade_customisations.ps1 configuration script.
A heading will be added to the script as and when attributes are add to the hc-upgrade_customisations.ps1 script.
