The Health Check reports when a firewall port is not enabled and is required for correct functionality. It also reports when the Buddy NOM process is not running and able to be contacted to check its status.
ENPS, Mobile and Playbook require a number of ports to be accessible for the applications to function as expected. With the firewall enabled, a number of ports are required to be opened so that servers, clients and 3rd party applications can communicate.
All required ports for the various ENPS suite of products are listed in the Operations Guides. For reference some of the common ports are listed below:
| Port | Purpose |
|---|---|
| 80 | ENPS 8 or later client and WebService
communication, including SignalR. ENPS Mobile client and WebService communication, including SignalR. |
| 443 | ENPS Mobile client/WebService communication, including SignalR, when using SSL |
| Port | Purpose |
|---|---|
| 8080 | Used for search requests when using Solr. |
| 10505/10506 | Client TCP requests, including authentication. Needs to be open to all ENPS servers in the enterprise. |
| 10510 | Private channel TCP |
| 10516 | NWP-to-NWP TCP |
Logon onto the Buddy server and ensure that the NOM process is running.
Enable the reported port(s) for inbound traffic. This can be configured in a number of ways; for example by process, remote systems access or subnet access.
A remote systems firewall status can be confirmed via the following PowerShell commandlet:
Test-NetConnection -ComputerName:<remote system name> -Port:<port to test, usually 10506>
If uncertain, either engage with your corporate Information Security or contact the AP ENPS Helpdesk.
NOTE: If you have any questions, please contact AP ENPS Support before making changes to the HealthCheck configurations.
The default minimum list of ports are set in \configurables\hc-custom_config.ps1, with the list being:
